ATMENDAS Consult is a specialized technical training and consulting organization focused on developing the skills required for modern energy infrastructure across Ghana and the wider West African region.
As energy systems across the region become more intelligent and interconnected, engineers and technicians must continuously upgrade their knowledge to keep pace with emerging technologies such as smart metering, grid automation, industrial IoT systems, and advanced energy monitoring.
ATMENDAS Consult was established to support this transition by providing industry-focused training programs designed to equip professionals with the practical knowledge required to operate, implement, and maintain modern energy systems.
Through structured training programs and hands-on technical insights, we help build a skilled workforce capable of supporting the evolving power and infrastructure sector in Ghana and West Africa.
Our Story
ATMENDAS Consult was founded with the goal of bridging the gap between academic engineering education and the practical skills required in today’s energy infrastructure environment.
Across Ghana and many parts of West Africa, energy utilities and infrastructure providers are increasingly deploying technologies such as smart meters, advanced monitoring systems, and automated grid control platforms. However, many technical professionals have limited opportunities to receive specialized training in these rapidly evolving systems.
ATMENDAS Consult was created to address this need by offering technical training programs that focus on the technologies currently shaping modern power systems in the region.
By combining engineering expertise with practical industry knowledge, we help professionals develop the competencies needed to support smarter, more reliable energy infrastructure.
The Architects of Grid Interoperability
At Atmendas Consult, we believe that the modern power utility is no longer just a network of wires and transformers; it is a sophisticated data ecosystem. As the global energy landscape transitions toward “Smart Grids,” the greatest challenge facing utilities today is not the lack of data, but the lack of a common language for seamless data exchange.
Our Expertise
Headquartered in Accra, Atmendas is a startup engineering consultancy specializing in the digitalization of power systems. We sit at the intersection of Power Engineering, Information Technology (IT), and Operational Technology (OT).
Our core expertise lies in the mastery of international standards that define the future of energy:
- DLMS/COSEM: Pioneering interoperability in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
- IEC 61850: Transforming substations from hardwired legacy sites to intelligent digital nodes.
- CIM (IEC 61970/61968): Harmonizing utility data models to break down functional silos between EMS, DMS, and Billing systems.

Our Mission
Our mission is to empower engineers, technicians, and infrastructure professionals across Ghana and West Africa with the technical skills required to support modern energy systems.
